Here are the primary requirements to apply for a loan from Eagleman Loans;
1) You must be 18 years old or over;
2) You must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid work visa;
3) You must be employed with a net income of no less than $450 per week, regualrly paid directly into a New Zealand bank account.
4) You must have a valid bank account, valid email address, active mobile number and nerifiable proof identification.
Our decision to approve a loan and determine the amount to lend is based on a combination of the applicant's credit score, the credit report produced by a credit agency and the comprehensive profiling we carry out on the applicant's full financial capacity, as follows;
1) The loan applicant must not be a bankcrupt.
2) After making any debt repayments, including the loan the applicant is taking out from Eagleman Loans, the applicant must have enough fund to cover his/her normal regular expenses, such as; rent/board/mortgage, food, power/internet bills, pertol/transport, medical costs, etc.
3) The loan applicant must not have big amounts of debt (ie; other personal loans and credit cards owings, etc).
4) The loan applicant must have a history of making payments on time.
5) The loan applicant must not have any active/current account/s appearing on collections or delinquents, or have payables that are past due or have accounts that, in the last two years, have been moved to collections, at the time of assessment.
6) The loan applicant financial record shows an increasing bank account balance as he/she spends less than what he/she earns.
If, upon checkng your financial position, you believe that you are not able to afford the required repayment and you will possibly fall into a bad debt situation, we highly recommend you put on hold your intention to submit a loan application to Eagleman Loans as it may only worsen your financial situation and credit history.
If your application was approved and signed off but decided not to go ahead with it, under the New Zealand's Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003, which came into force on 1 April 2005, You, (the Borrower) have three working days after the initial signing of the contract to cancel it. You must do this in writing, and you must return all the money borrowed to us (Eagleman Loans).
First and foremost, all forms of identification and documentation provided must be valid at the time of application. The loan applicant must provide any 2 of the following (or can be combination of a photo and non-photo identification);
Photo Identification
• New Zealand drivers licence
• New Zealand/Overseas passport/National identity card (overseas)
• New Zealand firearms licence
Non-photo identification
• Full birth certificate (New Zealand or Overseas)
• Certificate of New Zealand citizenship / Foreign citizenship certificate
• Kiwi Access Card (formerly 18+ Card – still acceptable as long as the card remains valid)
ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF ADDRESS:
The following are acceptable proof of address. All documentation must be dated within the last three months at the time of application and must show the full name and address of the loan applicant:
• Bank statement
• Utility bill (e.g. gas, electricity, water etc.)
• Property rates notice from city council
• Sale and purchase agreement from a property sale
• Insurance policy document
• Letter from New Zealand electoral office
• Letter from a government agency (containing unique customer’s reference)
• Current rental or tenancy agreement
Under the New Zealand law and as part of our commitment to adhere and comply with the The Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009, we (as a responsible lender) are required to collect our loan applicant's personal information.
For all new customers, Eagleman Loans conduct strict verification process and require all new loan applicants to present/submit photo and non-photo identification and proof of address. See above FAQ to check the acceptable forms of Identity and proof of address.
When your loan is approved, Eagleman loans provides you a copy of the Loan Contract, and the Loan Summary Statement. Once this is signed off, the the money wil be deposited into you nominated bank account.
Yes, we can offer you a new loan even if you still have an existing loan active with us.
You can choose to refinance the existing loan and consolidate this loan with the new loan amount that you need, or you can apply for a separate loan. Our considrtion to approved the additional loan will be according to your current circumstances, affordability, security, credit record and historical loan conduct.
Yes, we can offer our loans to work visa holders.
The credit criteria that is applied to residents and citizens are also the same to non-residents or work visa holders, but may differ only on the term ie; the term of any loan for work visa holders cannot exceed the terms of your visa.
